How do solo games fit in a multiplayer campaign?

The games are designed to be played sequentially in the core multiplayer campaign consisting of All Aboard, Stolen Child, and The Haunted Manor. The are “book-ended” with solo games, a prologue of Nightwatch and an epilogue of Monkey’s Paw.

This allows all the players who want to join in the solo games as part of the campaign to write their own introduction and backstory in Nightwatch, and craft their own final ending in Monkey’s Paw.

What is your refund policy?

Refunding a pledge is a tricky thing to handle, given that platform fees are paid early on, and production costs are estimated based on the number of backers we have at a campaign’s end. As a small company, refunds can have a large impact on us.

Even so, we will always seek to be amenable to a customer request. Our refund policy is as follows:

During the Campaign Just cancel your pledge, as no money has exchanged hands yet. We understand!

Within 14 Days After the Campaign Cancellation 85% of the original pledge amount, through direct contact with us.

Between 15 Days Post Campaign and Before the Pledge Manager Closes We cannot guarantee a refund, but you may be eligible for up to 50% of the original pledge amount, through direct contact with us.

After the Pledge Manager Closes No refunds are possible. A case by case basis will be considered for extreme circumstances. If you think this might apply to you, please reach out to us.

If you do not submit all information to the pledge manager within 6 weeks from the first notification to do so, you agree that we have fulfilled our obligations to you in full for any payments made. Parable Games may, at our discretion, refund or ship your pledge even if this information is not submitted by this deadline.

All refunds are made in GBP (British Pounds).

If I am a US customer, will I have to pay a small package fee?

No. We ship our products into the US enmasse, and distribute through a partner, so no extra cost is passed onto to you.

How do I connect the 5 games together?

The Grim Gazette Collection is connected by a handy Campaign Guide which is include don all pledge levels. This booklet will provide guidance on what you may carry forward into your next game, the rewards and disadvantages you may accrue depending on how your previous game has gone.

Why are there no Stretch Goals?

We believe this is the best version of the Grim Gazette and want to avoid the games expanding beyond their original intent and purpose, hence why we have decided to not have stretch goals on this campaign.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
